geometric series, like 0.5, 0.25, 0.125, etc…forgot the formula though!!
as time progresses we learn new stuff….but we also forget the most basic things. hope we’re not gonna go into the stage of knowing how to do complex integrals but dunno how to add 2 numbers together!!
[(1-r^n) / (1-r)]/2
= [(1 – 0.5^19) / (1 – 0.5)]/2
= 1 – 0.5^19
= 524287 / 524288

yeah, my maths set is quite good at maths i must admit…. we do OCR… and there are only 4 mechanics modules… so it’s a bit different… we just finished the syllabus on Friday and the people already score full marks in a past paper… (M3!!!)…..
i think i will be fine in the real thing too… i remember i struggled with M2 and didn’t finish my mock paper even though i was given extra time in the mock (at that time i thought i was eligible for extra time).. but in the real thing i DIDN”T get to have extra time….. but i got 100 UMS
