The priences have a different role to play. For the European ones, its a personification of the country’s unity, regardless of the ever changing political systems, policies and presidents/prime ministers. So they have to be good looking – they represent the appearence of the people.
The “prince” of North Korea acts as a ruler and a politican. In case you don’t know, politicians that have a small belly command more attention.
