<edit> Short entry so I decided to put it with the previous one instead of starting a new one.

*sigh…today is not as happy as my previous two days… but nonetheless…it was ok.
Maths was too funny “(Kerry:” It was you.!”) Daniel: (Really?) ROTHLMHO! literally i had tears from laughing too hard. Good. that probably burnt off a few calories.
And Donna in the morning was talking to another girl. Overheard their conversation. (“Tony keeps talking my glasses. I don’t like it.”) er…
I think it’s kind of Hong Kong culture that ppl are chicken. Went to Festi with Em. Y and Tiff and Vto and continued a quite interesting conversation.
but for some reason i don’t feel that good today.
*sigh. is it worth trying if you know there is absolutely no chance?
*do appearances really matter that much? like the importance of being earnest. Do we first feel attracted to a certain individual because they are “leng zai” or “leng lui”? haha would i still be obsessed with agassi if he had no teeth…loads of pimples…and…you know..if he was really ugly?
Speaking of English…sth really funny happened on wednesday. We were reading this dodgy bit from “The Bloody Chamber” –
“I never saw two fall to it with such appetite. As if the whirlwind got into their fingers, they strip each other bare in a twinkling and she falls back on the bed, shows him the target, he displays the dart, scores an instant bullseye. Bravo! Never can that old bed have shook with such a storm before. And their sweet, choked mutterings, poor things: ‘I never…””My darling…” “More…” and etc etc. Enough to melt the thorniest heart.
We were all pretty embarrassed to be reading sth like this, because after all, it was rather graphic (there was more graphic stuff at the top.) Things didn’t get better when Ms. Jarvis read:
“horniest heart.”
The whole class roared with laughter. Haha we all know what Ms. Jarvis was thinking now. ![]()

hehe…..the looks don’t matter. I personally believe that the inside is more important then the outside. What lies beneath within the heart is the most important thing.
Speaking about your first points: Don’t give up on anything untill the last minute whether there is any hope…..always try your best if u’re capable!! Remember that fate lies in your hand but first u must have faith (joy luck club..hehe) in yourself.
hmm….u must have had a great english lesson today!! Brighten up and rememer to SMILE!! =]
Like you said.. there are always ups & downs in life! Don’t worry, I get what you mean by feeling not so good… I get that sometimes as well! Think of the bright side… sometimes we’ve just gotta experience “do mui” (you know that Chinese expression?) in otherwards… depression, or we’ll think life is perfect… and when finally something not so pleasant happens, we won’t be able to cope with it!
Just keep that smile stretching and stretching… remember there’s nothing to be sad about… being sad about something will only make you more sad!
Cheer up! Days will surely improve.
Hmmm… looking in the inside is always more important that looking on the outside… that’s for sure. However, you gotta be careful cause sometimes people’s insides can cause misleadings and you can be fooled by them… at first they’re nice… but later when they reveal their true inside… you’re gonna regret it! ‘My mummy told me to choose friends carefully’… LOL.
I think you’re fond of Agassi because of his ability to play tennis… that’s what makes you think he’s so hot and handsome.. bla bla… plus he’s basically good looking in the first place makes you fancy him even more. Many people don’t realise it, but they fall in love or admire one person because of their ability and talents… if someone’s inside character was good, it automatically makes their appearance attractive as well. However, there are a few out there just like guys/girls cause of their looks or money etc.. – thats my personal opinion btw.
Anyways, take care! Dont worry, I’m sure you’ll have a better day tomorrow.
There’s always friends around to help you out!
bethia
lol…your english lessons must be very interesting…
Yeeeeass I think inside is more important too!
hahahaha… although the latter word does make the story more coherent
realistically u would only be first attracted to someone whose appearance is alright if u dun know him. if you know him already and u know his personality well then feelins that develop are not from appearance!
*lol* Imagine our class from last year reading it: Ricky, Vincent, Tiffany, Janet, Anika, Rashmi, Natasha. At least it’s not boring!

Unfortunately, the social mold points to appearance and not to the insides. This whole idea of ‘first impression counts’ learning TECHNIQUES in social success, are associated with how (generalizing a lot) humans simply look at the surface……… oh well!
I can sense a lot of Gos Gos Gos Gos between u 4 in Festiv…..
Geez Gurlies……….
hi,
how’s tennis today? and what made you suddenly think of such philosophical questions on appearances vs inside? personally, i think character is most important….and as long as they don’t look too extremely bad, then its ok.
and cheer up soon! 🙂
i dun get it wat food is that!!!!! bring it to skool for me one day!
I guess appearance does play a factor …If it weren’t important, why would people spend so much time putting on make-up and stuff before goin out in order to look attractive? Where would the cosmetic industry get all their money from?
Yummm… miss Hong Kong food a lot…
