HAha…today was quite a fun day, despite the Chem Lab day. The lab day was quite easy, I’m pretty sure I got 14/15 in the titration one so that’s really good since last year I only got like 11. I remembered my mistakes from last year and was really careful not to do the same this year! (like not making up to the mark for the standard solution.) The observation and inferences…well I won’t get full marks for that because I never do, I don’t know how to write observations and inferences, but at least I knew what was going on so I guess tis ok.

Enjoyed participating in the “Shenzhen water festival” with Bigcow, despite getting all wet. It’s not fair…he’s stronger than me, so naturally I was the one getting all wet. :-p

Enjoyed going shopping with V.To. Hehe we walked aimlessly in festival walk but it fun despite the fact that we were rilly tired. We were shopping for Di’s b-day present. =)

Then at home I saw Faith Hill in Apple Daily for the third time in my life! Hehe so happy she is well known in Hong Kong now. I even heard the Pearl Harbor song from the adjecent flat on Sunday, but that’s not my favourite song, so I decided to put on Faith’s newest CD really loud for my neighbors to hear. Haha wonder if it worked. Well she was in the paper because she won the People’s choice Award for Best female artist…she wins every year! Well she beat ppl like J.Lo so that’s quite a feat.

Yeh! Xanga is up again! I can post! I feel like posting early today but Xanga was down earlier…=( Luckily I only had to wait for about 15 mins. I had 3 frees at school today…but I wasted 2.5 of them. The other 0.5 I was actually revising M3.

I just found out that my better English teacher is pregnant and leaving on maternity leave in March. Haha she’s siz months pregnant and none of us noticed.

This time I am seriously so screwed. If I get two bad English teachers then I am going to quit English. Hmmm. I really hope they give us sb who knows what they are doing. Like Ms. Gower for example. Pls pls, give us somebody reasonable! At least sb with more experience. Any teacher that has been teaching english at KGV for 3 years + will be ok. Thank you journal. Your silence has guaranteed the grant of my wish. Thank you, thank you!

I wasn’t going to post today but after reader other people’s blogs I decided to post sth. My background is gone for some reason but I don’t have time to do anything about it yet.

Chicago interview in Dan Ryans to look forward to. Ooh and Hui Lau Shan…haha I haven’t done planning for two weeks later in a very very long time.

The Ex-KGVers talk was scary! I am under the impression that every one is drunk and puking and wasted all the time. Even at Yale man. I don’t mind getting drunk/wasted like once a year…but every day (in England) and every friday night (at Yale) wth. Not my way of spending $1,000,000 at uni. The propectices (eek can’t spell) make it sound so nice but maybe it’s not. Hmmm…

And M3 on Monday but I’m seriously so screwed (note the use of alliteration for emphasis I haven’t finished learning that, never mind revising. I’m trying to get better English Grades (got a C for my previous piece of work) Partly I think its because “she” is such a bad bad teacher, (she is seriously so crap compared to Ms. Gower, I sleep in her lessons and she doesn’t teach you anything, she makes you discuss, saids ‘very good’ and doesn’t points out your mistakes, then in your essay you get a C. Plus she’s so lazy it literally takes her 3 weeks to mark your work. And she doesn’t give you model answers) And well, I guess partly its my fault, I haven’t been self-studying (I don’t normally need to, but with such a bad teacher, you must). So I’ve borrowed an Angela Carter Book and I’m reading about her sick mind and weird porn. I showed my mom the porn bit and we were both cracking up. 😀

Ma Cornell interview went ok. Apart from waiting for her for 45 mins. I thought the appointment was a 4:00 (I’m actually pretty sure it was) but she thought it was at 4:30. Still can’t access the KGV email so I can’t verify. Ate tiramisu at the interview. Not bad. =)

I seriously hope I get in la! Rilly rilly want to go to US!

Stupid KGV server. I can’t access the email to get the contact number of my cornell interviewer tomorrow. Gluk to all those who have interviews and daniel, don’t worry about your interview report! I’m sure they don’t view interviews that heavily.

Went jogging with emily this morning…it wasn’t that cold out and I managed to run around 5 laps. *Hehe* Then I spoiled it all by going to macdonalds. *Sigh* I had a craving for a hash brown and ended up eating a whole meal. *Urgh* this is so annoying!

Great Job to Kerry and Emily Y for getting in Cambridge! You guyz deserve a huge pat on the back! *pats*

Haha the entry is no longer short cuz I have more to add. My dad just came home from work and it’s his second last day before retirement. He seriously got so many presents. 25-odd. I opened them all! So happy. He got lots of nice gifts. and lots of blessings. Some were hilarious though. Like a plate that saids “¾¤¥ÃªL¦Ñ®v´f¦s:§@¨|­^¤~ Canossa Primary School (P.M) P.T.A”

and there was a crystal thing that said “¾¤¥ÃªL¦Ñ®v´f¦s:®v®¦¥ÃÃh” Haha like my dad’s dead or sth (touch wood) even my chinese is better than theirs.

then there were all the norm pressis, pens, keychains, scarfs, ties, belts, thermometers, etc etc.

and I couldn’t help but wonder, wow, my dad is very popular at school. Probably there are some of these kids who want him as a dad. He can spend hours on the phone with them. I ought to be grateful and thankful that I have a wonderful dad. *sigh*

*Haha Andy Hui won the “my favourite male singer” award at 903. Soo soo soo happi for him! So even though sammi’s not going and probably not getting any awards I still have sb to cheer for. Haha apologies for the random pic…was trying to find a pic of the stadium now but I can’t. The website sux…not as good as last year when they had live clips and live photos.

I’m so proud of myself. My Premium’s gone but I can still make the background quite similar to what it was before. Took me bout an hour though, and I can’t make it exactly like b4, but a little change is good! I actually like it more now.

So I’m gonna post a song. I dunno if I remember the code to do it, so pls tell me if you can hear it! =) It’s a nice song. Sounds like a happy song but quite sad if you listen to the lyrics properly. “Unsavable” by Faith Hill. I also think it’s making my page rilly hard to load each time. If that’s the case and it’s deterring you from reading ma site pls tell moi!

Yesterday I went to countdown with my family and wanchai in tst. We went to sing karoke before that. In TST people we booing and stuff. I think sb fell into the water cuz there was a diving unit firetruck trying to drive in though the people. Caught up with some talking with Wanchai. The counter lights on the building was really cool. I haven’t been out on News Years eve before. A first time for me =). Haven’t revised much! So dead dead dead. Today my cousins from New Zealand are coming to visit so another day gone. =) V.To’s Xmas present was very good for the occassion, but now there is a bit of saliva stuck on the toy. Hmm.. As expected. Rejected from Oxford.

Just like my dream. For those who don’t know about my dream, it involved getting a christmas card at school that was from Oxford. If you were rejected, you would get a “Merry Christmas” and if you were accepted, then it saids “Congrats on your offer”. I got a “Merry Christmas next to my name and I think two people got a “Congrats” in my dream. I won’t disclose who they are, but I’ll see if my intuitions were right. =)

I’m not that dissapointed, I guess, dun wanna go to Oxford anyway. I mailed Chicago and Penn apps just now, so I hope that I will get accepted by one of them la. I love them both, although I must say I favor Chicago over Penn. Slightly. If not then I’ll end up in Kings. Or UBC lor.

Got to finish apps and start revising! If I don’t get my BBC then even Kings won’t accept me! =p. G’luck to everyone else! Hey Oxford people tell me the good/bad news!~ =)

I am writing to tell you, with regret, they we are unable to offer you a place at Corpus Christi College to read Biochem. Your application is, however, available to all other Oxford colleges until 31 Jan, and it is therefore possible (although I have to say not now likely) that another college will contact you before then; otherwise you should not expect to hear further from other colleges, even though you may have been interviewed by them. If you are not contacted, I am afriad that means your application to Oxford has been unsucessful.

The College will be writing directly to your school within the next few weeks about your application, unless you have already indicated that you do not wish a report to be sent. I am sure that your teachers will be ready to discuss with you any comments we make, if you wish.

I do realise how disappointing this will be, and I am sorry not to have better news about your application here. As you will know, competition for places at Oxford is extremely strong. I hope, however, that you will be sucessful in gaining admission to one of the other Universities to which you may have applied.

I think my premium is going to run out these few days…I’m striving to understand the html properly so I can maintain a good-looking blog after the premium runs out (Yes Daniel, I got 1 month premium so I didn’t do much to make it look that way). Maybe this will be the last blog before my premium’s gone.

Hmm…well my apps are almost done, what a relief. Thanks everyone for your wishes and comments, I really appreciate them! *hug* Looking forward to the countdown on the 31st. These stupid apps have drained the life out of me. Sorry to all those I owe presents to! I promise I’ll go shopping!

I’m really very funny because my body is very hot but my feet are freezing cold. I guess I’ll have to get used to this weather because this is what it will be like if I get into any of these American Schools…only it will be even colder.

Skipped Tennis today cuz I stayed up to do apps and then I couldn’t wake up. Brr its so cold! 11:25 a.m. Sat. now. Better run to the post office and get it postmarked today so it will look better!. Cya!

Damn X 100. I forgot to give in the “Mid Year Report” form for Yale! Damn it I am so so screwed. At least its for postmark Feb 15 but what if Mr. R doesn’t do it for me! Sigh why was I so careless! Sigh why did I procrastinate? Sigh why didn’t I check properly? (I thought I did?)

*Sigh Sigh…as you can see, not a very good way to start a xanga (damn) and…this is going to another moaning edition.

Well I was meant to go out with ppl today but owing to the Bl**dy Ma fan US Apps I’m stuck at home again. I don’t know why I keep procrastinating – I tell myself if I can finish before Xmas than at least I can enjoy Christmas but then I end up taking overly long breaks from essay writing. I’ve sort of written everything for Cornell but is so crude and so crap. Why do I take these stupid breaks at home if I can party after I finish the applications? I don’t get me, so I don’t blame my parents for not getting me either.

Yesterday I took a small break. Went out with parents to watch movie. Its a rilly rare opportunity. The last movie we all watched together was the jackie chan movie 2001 summer. So more than a year ago. And my dad managed to fall asleep in the movie theatre and embarrass us. This time it was better. We watched µL¶¡¹D or “Mo Gan Do” or “Internal Affairs” or the movie with Tony Leung, Andy Lau, Eric Tsang, Anthony Wong, Sammi Cheng!!!!!!, Kelly Chen, Edison Chan, Shawn Yu, Elva Shao…etc. Yup. All the chinese ppl should know because its the hittest film out there now. Well, my dad did not fall asleep (thank the lord!) and the movie rocked. It was a brilliant play of dramatic irony. Really cool. And you get to see all those big stars in one movie. (Sammi!!!!!!) Yupyup. It was good. And it was only the 2nd time in my life that I watched a 9:30 movie. So that’s pretty cool. =) You guys should watch it. It’s cool.
