*Anywayz. I spent loads of time making my xanga site more simple. Dunno why. I felt like making a new banner because i downloaded a whole load of new fonts, but i couldn’t make one that matched any of my backgrounds so i just used a plain background. i’ve been in my “computer art mood” lately but I’m so crap at it i dunno why i even have the motivation. I guess its fun…but…

What a waste of time. *sigh.

i dunno. *ergh so annoying. on many occasions i sucessfully persuaded myself that cornell is better…and then i start thinking again…and then i think chicago is quite a nice place too.

 Ok here is my day.

 l          i made a mask with an old hanki. (that i haven’t used in like 5 years) *this demonstrates my awareness for the environment – using useless materials to make stuff that i will use. Haha. So proud of my sewing skills.

er…. yeh.

l          i ate the fattiest lunch ever ¡V oil-covered rice plus ¡§mui choi cow rook¡¨ ¡V ie the fattiest type of meat you can get plus pork chop ¡V with lots of oil oozing out

l          i spent the entire day looking at universities and where past students went and so on.

l          i didn¡¦t do any homework yet but i promise i’ll go do some sums.

l          i wrote an email to the Chicago interviewer asking her which school I should pick but now I am more confused than ever since she basically summed up what I already know. Now I¡¦m going to send an email to the Cornell interviewer to test her if she can persuade me. (haha I am evil.)

Ivy or Small Classes? — Quality of Life or Quality of Education? (both are good…) Liberal Arts or Less Liberal Arts? Urban or Rural? Econ or human ecology (a mixture of everything, basically¡Kcan take everything from textiles to biology and society to policy analysis to nutritional sciences and become a dietrician. )*sigh. Too many questions¡Kno answers.

Cornell students seem to do better overall…and although the small classes of chicago are good – what if i don’t like a certain course? because of the core requirements i still have to take it. but then apparently people are Cornell are cocky. *urgh! buts buts and more buts.

If only i had one dream school  and one dream major- then I wouldn¡¦t be sooo frustrated.

*sorry for blabbering on…but well I’m really stuck and writing it down sort of helps me a bit i guess. and you guyz are helping. Thanks again! *hugz*

Dilemma 

although I sort of decided i wanted preliminarily to go to Cornell…a part of me and a big part of my dad…wants me to go to Chicaog – cuz he doesn’t know what I can get out of Human Ecology. and I dunno if my reasons for choosing Cornell – i.e. good food and i know people…are too… trite/stupid/immature.

HAha !

I got into Cornell too! Happy happy happy! 🙂 No more going to imperial! Or Canada. haha!

I got my decision on the mail…online it still doesn’t say anything. Their online ppl are inefficient! and i got this in the email…

If you completed your application in time, it was reviewed earlier this

year as part of our freshman admission application process.  You should

receive your decision letter from us within the next 7-10 days.   You can

Hehe. Who else got in? If you guys are going to Cornell then I’ll probably go there since I’m sure I’ll get rejected by Penn and Yale and Harvard. I dunno who’s going to Chicago…so yes…i’ll probably go to cornell lor!

They sent me the biggest box of stuff in a UPS thing…I was so surprised since I didn’t order any books from amazon. But it was my admissions package!

Yes…and about orienteering yesterday. Hehe. I mucked up…got DQed because I took 3 hours when the time limit was 2.5 mours. Got very bruised. PKed like 6 times while bushbashing. Spent 1.5 hours bushbashing on my own, falling off cliffs etc. It was pretty scary. Until I met these two other girls and we walked together. But bushbashing is not fun. Particularly when you find that at one point you were 10m from a check point but you didn’t realise and slipped and fell off the cliff and got totally lost and went bush bashing again…

*sigh if only i found that check point the first time round, 1 hour before I found it…then I would not have been disqualified. But anywayz, its ok, I had the feeling I wouldn’t do too well anyway. Last time I went round telling everyone I would win because I really felt I would…and I did. This time I didn’t tell that to anyone because I had the feeling that I wouldn’t. My instincts are pretty good.

Plus my pants were totally ruined. I made the mistake of wearing my favourite NIKE pants to it, not anticipating so much bush bashing. Well the pants were khaki, and when I finished it was brown poo coloured. All over. *yuck. Went home to try and save them. First time I used dettol. Nothing happened to them. So I used soap After the soap the pants were brown stripped. Then I used “pre wash” squirt. It was brown dotted. Then I used bleach. Now it was brown specked.

So I left it overnight in the bleach…and then it was ok. Gee I’m so proud of myself. Did my own washing…turned brown pants into khaki. Hahaha.

Hehe I’m just blabbering on. But yeh. My feelings.

The UE today was easy! Ran out of time for section E but had 45 minutes left for Section C. Writing tmr! So dead!

Cornell is so mucked up I swear. Look what I got in my email.

Wtf! Number 1, I did not apply to Cornell as a transfer.

Number 2, my file is complete, the lady told me that herself in february. and my “online status account” saids its complete.

*Sigh. I’m so worried that the only two acceptances I get from U.S. are UCLA and UCSD, since I got rejected from Berkeley. I’m not sure if my parents will let me go to the US if I’m going to UCLA. Not that its a bad school, but canada is so much cheaper.

Cornell, Cornell, Cornell… *sigh. so inefficient. They already got me so worried in february when my letters of teacher recommendations were not received. (They received everything else, which Mr. Rowark mailed). Now this.

Apparently they sent emails to rejected Early Decision applicants welcoming them to the school and congradulating them because of a database error. It was on CNN. *sigh. so mucked up.

Aieya. So worried. I’m really hoping to get into Cornell and Chicago since the others are so way out of my league.

Tung Chi Wah just said no skool starting Saturday…hmm…dunno if that’s good or bad… heard that Emily and Matthew booked like 3 badminton courts… and probably no one is going to go if there is no school. And the rolling stones concert is cancelled – not that it is any relevance to me…

but hong kong is going to turn into a “dead” city. No more Hong Kong, City of Life.

I honestly think that this disease will get to a stage when everyone will get it. Sort of like the chicken pox – but they will develop a better cure so we don’t need steroids and such drugs that will damage our body.

Ah wellz. No more school next week, but I don’t escape from P6 tmr (which I’ve already managed to postpone from wednesday. keke.) ah well. that’s life. gtg revise!

btw…for those who were worrying, I’m ok now…just have a headache, but otherwise, fine! 🙂 TY for caring.
