haven’t written a ‘real’ entry since the 9th… hmmm… i have no prelims next week! Weeee!!! I hate HATE hate prelims… but have 2 the following week…** and also the presentation the week after. But as Hester kindly reminded me, i only have 2 more prelims left… then its the road to the finals! Then i can go back to ma sweetsweet home!  

Professor Boor, the food science prof i’m working for, gave a guest lecture in my BEE class on tues! So exciting – i do think food science is interesting! I even managed to prop a question… pat on the back for me, since i never ask questions

Went grocery shopping yesterday, thanks mingming for driving us… spent $100 on groceries.. AGAIN.. i go crazy at the supermarket, another sign of si lainess… at least that part of me will probably not change!

Had a true American Dinner tonight – steak, mashed potatos and the TV! (Monsters Inc. was showing on ABC, Boo is so cute!) too bad pru is sick… but then she probably won’t eat steak with me anyway… haha too fattening. Get well soon pru!

Its official! My last paycheck, consisted of 0 dollars! I worked for 1.5 hours (ok i was lazy, and there was nothing to do) which means i should get 11.48 dollars but the federal withholding took it all! So inside the paycheck envelop, there wasn’t even a check! ^_^’… sure…checks costs money too. But then Johnny says i’ll get the money back at the end of the year…so yah thats fine with me cuz i don’t mind getting a big check at the end.

No Halloween partying for me this year… not living in the dorm really takes out alot of the halloween spirit… but then i’m not much of a party person anywayz… tho i do wonder if any kinds will come trick or treating? I doubt it, but i hope they do… that would be so much fun…

so glad its still not snowing… hope i don’t jinx it!

Singles again for Lleyton and Kim

LLEYTON Hewitt was nursing a broken heart last night after Kim Clijsters dumped him over the telephone.

Happier times … Kim and Lleyton.

Clijsters rang Hewitt on Thursday night to end their relationship without giving a reason, but posted a brief statement on her website.

Hewitt, holidaying in the Northern Territory with close friend and Adelaide Football Club premiership hero Andrew McLeod, is understood to be bewildered and devastated.

The couple was to be married in Australia in February with a celebration following in Belgium. But Clijsters said a wedding is now “out of the question”.

“Kim Clijsters and Lleyton Hewitt have mutually decided to end their relationship,” Clijsters said on her website yesterday.

“Private reasons compelled the couple to end their relationship and logically following an eventual wedding is out of the question.”

On the website it said “as every other couple whose relationship has come to an end” neither wished to speak publicly about it.

“Both distance themselves also from gossip in such situations,” the statement read.

Two wedding ceremonies had been planned to satisfy the wishes of parents Glynn and Cherilyn Hewitt and Leo and Els Clijsters.

Hewitt, 23, proposed to Clijsters, 21, aboard a Sydney Harbour cruise last year.

The two former No 1 tennis players have been together for more than four years.

They met at the Australian Open in 2000.

Reports surfaced earlier in the year that all was not well in the Hewitt camp, with relations between Clijsters and her future mother-in-law strained.

Hewitt and Clijsters’ wedding had also been announced via the Belgian’s website. “The beautiful love story will have its logical extension with a marriage in February in Australia.”

Hewitt, whose career peaked with US Open and Wimbledon titles in 2001 and 2002, lost in the US Open final to Roger Federer last month. Clijsters reached No 1 last year but has recently been troubled by a wrist injury.

Ball girl models cause outcry

The Government official insists that the arrival of the models, wearing short skirts and skin-tight black tops, is sexist and unsporting and has sent a protest letter to the tournament director.

The models received only two weeks of training prior to the tournament.

 Agassi was less than impressed when the chair umpire has to remind a confused ball-girl to return to the side of the net.

The models are reportedly being paid ?00 for the week.

“I think it is important for our sport to understand its product clearly, and I’m not quite convinced this is part of our product,” said Agassi.

“It was difficult, to say the least, to concentrate on the ball, but I suppose I had an advantage – I’m used to playing with my wife (Steffi Graf).”

Watched Exorcist last night, wasn’t as scary as i thought it would be; perhaps its not my type of scary? My type of scary is gothika…like the *boom* scary. Or, the “day after tomorrow” scary… as in a realistic type situation and the hero is about to die… although i know he won’t die, *that’s scary*… lol. I get sooo scared in James Bond Movies…O_O

Break from classes but *not* break from work… must get stuff done during this time, don’t want to be as stressed out as i have been these past 2 weeks again. *sigh… why is college so much work? Why can i be an *easy* major?

Finally finished the most hectic week of the semester. 4 prelims, 4 hws, 1 quiz, 1 lab and 1 lab report!

But mustn’t relax too much too long … need to start on physics for
next week…and attacking those weekly problem sets that never seem to
end..
