thank you for those who sent me well wishes in one way or another! feel so loved. miss ya all and thank you!

some memoriable presents – esp the choi sum! hehe so yumyum! hehe seriously one of the weirdest but best presents i have got! loved everything else too, ty all!

also watched matrix and love actually (with one ticket ) matrix was ok… still too many questions unanswered… but love actually was SOOOO good! (well at least if you cut out the pornography.) so sweet. Everyone you HAF to watch it. instantly become one of my all-time favourites. I love Richard Curtis films!

 

 

 

Happy anniversary! so its been a year since i joined xanga. Rereading my first entry…its so weird. not anything i would write now… hmmm funny how we change in such a short time.

i want to watch a concert in HK! there’s faye wong (i think i might be going on the 27th) and there’s twins… anyone interested?

the guy sitting in front of me today in the orgo prelim wore a shirt that said on the back “It’s just not your day today.”

Very nice shirt to wear to a prelim. There’s supposed to be a meteor shower tonight but clouds are covering the Ithaca Skys.

Went to see Gothika last night (Free Advanced Screening @ Uris Aud…, coming out in US on Nov 21). Freaked me out. Man…if i gave The Ring (english) a scary rating of 2, this one would be about 4 (out of 5). *maybe its just me, but i felt like i was on the abyss in ocean park for at least 1 hour ~O_O~!(the other hour of the movie wasn’t scary, i was like *that’s impossible…blahblah doesn’t make sense etc.)

Plus there was the sound effects of all ma fellow Cornellians Screaming – seriously like a rollarcoaster ride. Velly good scary movie atmosphere. 

Happy tho that i didn’t have nightmares… perhaps i conquered that childish fear of horror movies – also happy that i got to see a free movie before it shows nationwide!

also mailed my letter to grandma. That crappy-chinese letter took me forever to write – like 3 hours – my chinese level is falling even faster than the abyss in Ocean Park. O_O

SO WINDY TODAY!

Ears almost fell off. But i found that my sweatshirt is actually warmer than my Gortex. How weird. Snowing pretty hard today but not sticking yet. According to my roomate’s mom, there will be 6 inches of snow by tmr morning – but then she’s not always right.

<edit> tiz proper snow! Tis sticky sticking snow! Not like the type in van or hokkaido but proper snowman toronto snow. ;-P

wah…so cold today. -7C. 18F. Its ok, still surviving, if i wasn’t out there in the observatory for over 1 hour looking at the lunar eclipse. Thanks to edward, also identified many constellations! I wore enuf clothes; but only wearing trainers – so my toes were completely numb! no feeling at all! luckily after an hour we went downstairs and sat *on* the heater… warmed feet. *such a good feeling!*

Also i think i saw a shooting star!  first time in my life man! *too bad it went too fast… no wish ar!

went to a party tonight in ctown… velly *interesting*… so cold tho in the streets… feel like a beggar because i have no nice clothes… borrowed stuff from christina and feifei. Saw many people there ! luckily christina didn’t feel out of place since she was the only white girl there!  i sort of told people that i was going back to sleep after CF; cuz of the sleep deprivation after the 2 prelims… but that didn’t happen yet! gonna sleep now! niteynite!

haha tata so tat was tat. I feel that the kay at the party wasn’t really the real me; feel kinda weird – perhaps still haven’t discovered the *joy* of dancing. Anyway, back to nerdy me, prelim was good, did better in both subjects (econ and nutrition) but i feel that the econ paper was definately easier so the mean will be higher! . >.< sucks. and my english; after talking to the prof, kind of know what a thesis statement is, hope i can write a much better essay after careful revision this weeknend! go from a C to a B and finally an A… hmm wonder if that’s still possible. Hope so!

did i tell everyone that i cooked pumpkin seeds with stolen pumpkin seeds, stolen margerine, stolen foil paper and stolen salt? As Kelvin says, its “chak zhong” but nevertheless really good! only made half of ma pumpkin seeds, due to limited space because of the lack of stolen foil paper. So I put the rest out to dry… and guess what…

the pumpkin seeds started growing shoots…O_O now i don’t think i can eat them anymore…who has heard of pumpkin seeds with shoots…O_O

preenrolled for courses today… woke up on time but STILL couldn’t get my desired math sec time… there goes my brillant *10 o clock lecture everyday* schedule… and my hopes of taking that globalisation anthropology writing seminar. Oh well.

originally had nutrition quiz time clash with econ prelim. Changed quiz to fri… so gonna do major studying. >.< I’m aiming to get A- in nutrition and B+ in econ …. and really need to work for that! (esp econ!…only allowed to get 3 wrong…O_O… for a B+…last prelim i got 7 wrong…) gluk peeps with studies! hopefully after prelim on fri i can go to a party since i am determined to go to one after the unsucessful attempt at going to a frat party on halloween night. (first 2 were crappy/ last one was closed when we got there). Apparently CoRnelL parTieS sux, but oh well… just want to see what they are like…
