The only drawback is that you’ll be looking like this

 Mrs. Tung Chi Wah

»X ± ¶W ¤H !!!!!

my whole family is pissed off at her looking like that because non red-cross organisations were forbidden to dress like that. They forbid you to wear more than a mask and a glove. Just because she is Mrs. Tung – gets special previlages.

*sigh.

my mom is sooo nice to me.

not only did she get me a new prom dress (i already got 1 a month ago, only i wasn’t entirely satisfied with it so now we got another one.) She also got me the ESCADA eau de toilette. Such extravagance. I mean, i really wanted it but i wasn’t going to spend $400 on perfume. I mean this is stuff you can do without. Normally i satisfy my desires by looking at stuff. Which is why i can spend a long time window shopping. so i was just looking at it…but then she already paid. I’m really happy, but really guilty at the same time. Life should not be built upon extravagances. i am not an extravagant person, and when i spend a lot of money i feel really really bad. and i spent a lot of money today.

I feel really really guilty now so the best i can do is to please her in other ways. I hope i can accomplish this.

thank you mommy.

and Happy Birthday Hugh!

Today was soooo fun! DEfinately the most fun I had in a long long time. Too bad i couldn’t stay for dinner. I decided to be a goodie goodie so my parent’s won’t be so pissed which increases my chance of going out again this holiday. Haha. But today was seriously really really fun. I dunno how to explain to you, but it was. I know that i probably missed out on a lot of fun by not going to the dinner, considering how much fun i had there. but oh well…that’s life. left at 6 with mary.

Haha so so fun! got to thank the b-day ppl Cadence and Dickson for organising and inviting!

Picture post!

group pic at the bbq. Yum yum!

Tony. ahahaha.

Then we went on our little girls adventure. hehe.

on the way back a butterfly crawled onto tiff’s shoe. I have the funniest video…haha ask me for it. cuz I don’t think i can post it here. Can I?

then we went back to play dodgeball, Spring Blossom Style…with the guys! Fun fun.

After that we played bilibala bop.

*Wang was so embarrassing. Kept shouting “Ice Fire”. I hope you don’t know what that means.

then i went home.

When I came home, i heard that Cornell gave me some sort of scholarship – Dean’s scholar. Its only like $600us a year…but i have no idea why they gave it to me. ahaha. Well i guess its an honour. it was based of my outstanding achievement and potential for sucess at Cornell. Me? Potential? Er…huh…right… anywayz. I’m happy but I don’t know why they gave it to me… well i’m probably going anywayz so yeh. Happy.

Update.

got this a long time ago…just really bored so posting it for ppl who haven’t seen it before.

She’s 5 years old!

Oh yes and to daniel, the guy who went to stanford in ’98 was andrew shin.

————————————————–

ppl in this world are such perverts.

i have a website on the tennis player “elena dementieva”. I have been too lazy to update so i haven’t visited for 1.5 years.

Today i decided to visit my long neglected page. I went to my guestbook.

25 messages i haven’t read. of which 5 were praises, 1 was in french – can’t be bothed to read it, 2 was totally irrelevent, 1 was a tennis racket advert and and the remaining 16 were sex ads/sex related.

Yuck. Why can’t ppl keep their feelings to themselves instead of spoiling my lovely guestbook and wasting my valuable time trying to delete these perverted comments? I am pissed.

mrs. hartwright won’t let go of me! A maths test – which the rest of the class did 2 weeks ago…i thought i had escaped. But alas! no!

– “Kay…when are you going to do your maths test?” – “errrr……ummm…”

so i said “err….  tmr? “. *sigh. That means no ER and no early bed for me tonight.

Anyone interested in da naked cowboy?

hmm…decided to post for the sake of posting. Still pretty bogged down with the uni stuff. I’m pretty much decided on Cornell over Chicago, but now comes the problem of Canada. The thing is, in canada you can study professional degress in undergrad like pharmacy and accountancy and acturial science. In US you can’t. I’m not so sure what I can get out of human ecology college since it is a really liberal degree. A bit of everything.

anyone know the feasability of changing colleges after you get in? I actually want to transfer to the college of Engineering to study biological engineering. At least it is professional and the degree is more solid. Anyone know how hard this is? changing colleges i mean.

Was looking at ’97 university acceptances from KGV. 2 Browns, 2 penns, 2 cornells, 1 yale, 1 columbia, then 1 chicago, nyu, ucla. Whoa. 8 ivy leaguers. Then in ’98 there was a yale and stanford, 4 browns and a cornell. 7 ivy leaguers. All these top schools. This year we’re meant to be pretty smart – and yet i don’t think any of us got into harvard princeton stanford yale. Aparently there was a baby boom if that makes anyone feel better. But I’d like to congratulate Janet on her acceptance to Brown! Really sai lei, especially this year. See, I don’t see how unis pick people. How did Janet get waitlisted for Chicago? Unis sometimes are sooo stupid.

I aspire to be a responsible admissions officier – that accepts the right people. (hehe just joking…but yeh)

Quote of the day ~ you don’t appreciate the importance of fresh air unless you live in Hong Kong.

i found this quite funny. my friend sent it to me some time ago. Just thought I would share. You know the song. Sing along!

When your’re happy and you know it

When you’re happy and you know it bomb Iraq
If you cannot find Osama, bomb Iraq.
If the markets are a drama, bomb Iraq.
If the terrorists are frisky, Pakistan is looking shifty, North Korea is too risky, Bomb Iraq. If we have no allies with us, bomb Iraq.
If we think someone has dissed us, bomb Iraq. So to hell with the inspections, Let’s look tough for the elections, Close your mind and take directions, Bomb Iraq.

It’s “pre-emptive non-aggression”, bomb Iraq.
Let’s prevent this mass destruction, bomb Iraq.
They’ve got weapons we can’t see, And that’s good enough for me ‘Cos it’s all the proof I need, Bomb Iraq.

If you never were elected, bomb Iraq.
If your mood is quite dejected, bomb Iraq.
If you think Saddam’s gone mad, ;With the weapons that he had, (And he tried to kill your dad), Bomb Iraq.

IF your corporate fraud is growin?, bomb Iraq.
If your ties to it are showin’, bomb Iraq.
If your politics are sleazy, And hiding that ain’t easy, And your manhood’s getting queasy, Bomb Iraq.

Fall in line and follow orders, bomb Iraq. For our might knows not our borders, bomb Iraq.
Disagree? We’ll call it treason, Let’s make war not love this season, Even if we have no reason,
Bomb Iraq.

*Anywayz. I spent loads of time making my xanga site more simple. Dunno why. I felt like making a new banner because i downloaded a whole load of new fonts, but i couldn’t make one that matched any of my backgrounds so i just used a plain background. i’ve been in my “computer art mood” lately but I’m so crap at it i dunno why i even have the motivation. I guess its fun…but…

What a waste of time. *sigh.

cornell vs chicago poll is currently 4:5 *ty for the comments guyz!

i dunno. *ergh so annoying. on many occasions i sucessfully persuaded myself that cornell is better…and then i start thinking again…and then i think chicago is quite a nice place too.

 Ok here is my day.

l          i made a mask with an old hanki. (that i haven’t used in like 5 years) *this demonstrates my awareness for the environment – using useless materials to make stuff that i will use. Haha. So proud of my sewing skills.

er…. yeh.

l          i ate the fattiest lunch ever ¡V oil-covered rice plus ¡§mui choi cow rook¡¨ ¡V ie the fattiest type of meat you can get plus pork chop ¡V with lots of oil oozing out

l          i spent the entire day looking at universities and where past students went and so on.

l          i didn¡¦t do any homework yet but i promise i’ll go do some sums.

l          i wrote an email to the Chicago interviewer asking her which school I should pick but now I am more confused than ever since she basically summed up what I already know. Now I¡¦m going to send an email to the Cornell interviewer to test her if she can persuade me. (haha I am evil.)

Ivy or Small Classes? — Quality of Life or Quality of Education? (both are good…) Liberal Arts or Less Liberal Arts? Urban or Rural? Econ or human ecology (a mixture of everything, basically¡Kcan take everything from textiles to biology and society to policy analysis to nutritional sciences and become a dietrician. )*sigh. Too many questions¡Kno answers.

Cornell students seem to do better overall…and although the small classes of chicago are good – what if i don’t like a certain course? because of the core requirements i still have to take it. but then apparently people are Cornell are cocky. *urgh! buts buts and more buts.

If only i had one dream school  and one dream major- then I wouldn¡¦t be sooo frustrated.

*sorry for blabbering on…but well I’m really stuck and writing it down sort of helps me a bit i guess. and you guyz are helping. Thanks again! *hugz*

One last thing.

Happy Birthday Cadence and Ayesha and Dickson and Jason Pang !

Help!

Dilemma

although I sort of decided i wanted preliminarily to go to Cornell…a part of me and a big part of my dad…wants me to go to Chicaog – cuz he doesn’t know what I can get out of Human Ecology. and I dunno if my reasons for choosing Cornell – i.e. good food and i know people…are too… trite/stupid/immature.

Cornell

Applied to College of Human Ecology – Not sure what that is

Can take most of your own combinations of courses.

Rural Setting – Nice but may be boring (4 hours away from New York and like 1.5 hours away from da next town.)

Not too many famous alumni…except the eX-president of Taiwan which everyone seems to hate

Acceptance Rate29% (For da PrIDe)

Other ppl might go from KGV…won’t be totally alone

Student/Faculty ratio : 9:1 (so high!)

Enrollment: 13,725 (so many ppl!)

Quality of life rating : 78

No WEB space! How scanky is that?

Class size (median):

20-29

(kinda big???¡Kbut can sleep in class)

Chicago

Does not make you choose you major – I can take econ if I want, which is the best in the world, although I’ve never taken econ at all and dunno if I’m good at it.

Core Curriculum– Makes to take a bit of everything

Urban Setting – No Boredom (5 minutes away from downtown Chicago)

74 Nobel Laureates – more than ANY other US university (yes…more than Harvard & co)

Acceptance Rate41.5%

 Noone else going from KGV.

Student Faculty ratio : 4:1 (so low!)

Enrollment : 4,236

Quality of life rating : 71

 They give you WEB space

Class size (median):

2-9

(whoa! So small! Forces you to wake up and contribute!)
